ZØ Marie reminisces on her first memories of music. “My mother played classical music at bedtime to lull me to sleep. My father would hold me in his arms each morning, serenading me with the Temptations.” Those early memories and the realization that she loved singing led her on a journey to release her new single and video, “Alright".

ZØ Marie's first album, SOULMATE, is a cohesive string of how she finds it challenging dating 20-somethings. Seemingly, young men feel the need to degrade women and send messages at 3 am – not a tactic that can sway ZØ Marie into saying yes. The demand for respect is right up front on SOULMATE while navigating this world of love and its various stages…the heartbreak, the I’m in love with you phase, and the co-dependency. “I believe two people need to have their own careers and independence, and THEN come together to have a healthy relationship.”
