Tropicante

Tropicante (tro-peeh-CAHN-teh) is synonymous with rhythm and joy! Lead singers Karin Stein (Colombian) and Ed East (Panamanian), together with their drummer and bass player, serve up a strong dose of energy with their Latin beats.

Colombian “cumbias,” Dominican “merengues,” Mexican pop tunes and “mariachi,” Venezuelan “tambores,” Cuban “sones,” and a few pop tunes thrown in, are the perfect formula for drawing in audiences of all ages and cultures.

Seeing and hearing Tropicante is living proof that the terms “Latino” or “Latinx” can’t be summarized, as they themselves come from mixed cultures and their music includes many genres.

Tropicante's lively concerts are sprinkled with anecdotes and humor, with room for audience participation. Ed, Karin, and their band members make fun magic on stage that draws everyone in!
