Orsika Julia

Out of the Quicksand

Orsika Julia is a speaker, author, and founder of Out of the Quicksand. Through honest storytelling, practical tools, and meaningful conversation, she helps audiences build healthier relationships, stronger boundaries, and lives rooted in resilience, truth, and self-respect.

Drawing from her experiences as a warrior of domestic violence and breast cancer, Orsika speaks openly about the realities of healing, navigating adversity, recognizing unhealthy dynamics, understanding consent, and choosing what supports personal well-being. Her approach is compassionate and direct, creating room for people to reflect, learn, and leave with tools they can use in their everyday lives.

Orsika is the author of The SAAFE Journey series, part of her broader Healthy Relationships, Healthy Healing collection of books and resources. Her work explores healthy relationships, boundaries, healing, resilience, and the courage it takes to choose oneself. She is also the editor of The Stories We Carry: What Helped, What Hurt, and What We Learned Along the Way, an anthology that brings together honest voices from cancer warriors and caregivers.

Whether she is speaking to students, advisors, or community audiences, Orsika invites people to move beyond simply surviving—to recognize their worth, trust their voice, create healthier connections, and choose a life of greater peace and possibility.
