Larry N Grogan

Author, speaker and pet lover, Larry Grogan began his journey with pet therapy at a local hospital with Scrappy, his five-pound fur ball, who quickly became a ROCK STAR with the children and health-care staff. Seeing the massive benefits little Scrappy brought to everyone she met, Larry began his quest to integrate pet therapy into schools and college campuses.  He is now an educator on the numerous benefits of campus pet therapy and can share a simple blueprint to create pet therapy programming. This therapy can be partnered with campus community outreach,  midterms and finals wellness activities, and for themed months like adoption, awareness and service status awareness for disabled/physically challenged students.

Larry turned his experiences with Scrappy into an award-winning book, “A Tail of Love, Life Lessons from Scrappy, a Therapy Dog.” Larry is committed to improving the lives of students and giving them the emotional support they need to stay the course and finish their campus experience.
