Kim B Miller is an award-winning, internationally featured keynote speaker, poet, and author who uses the power of words to spark reflection, accountability, and bold action. She made history as the first and only Black Poet Laureate for Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park, Virginia.
Her thought-provoking TEDx Talk, 17 Syllables To Stop The Blame Game challenges audiences to confront blame culture and embrace personal responsibility.
An accomplished author of seven books, five of which remain in print, Kim’s work has also been recognized nationally, including a mini-documentary produced by Voice of America and interviews on WUSA9. She has performed internationally, including a featured performance at SpokenWord Paris in Paris, France.
A former telecommunications and marketing executive, Kim is a sought-after keynote speaker who energizes audiences, ignites dialogue, and inspires leadership, accountability, and purpose. Her keynote presentations have influenced audiences at conferences, universities, and national gatherings, including the opening keynote at the 2026 YMS BOLD Move Conference and the closing keynote at the 2026 Married to My Purpose Conference, as well as the 2025 S.E.A.L. Awards, the 2025 Women’s Leadership Summit at Rochester Institute of Technology, and the 2024 Women Impact Virginia Summit.
Her work has earned numerous accolades, including the Orchid Award, InsideNoVa’s Best of Prince William Author of the Year, and the Vivien H. Hansbury Award. She is a three-time Haikuist of the Year at the DMV Renaissance Awards and a two-time DMV Best Business Award winner.
