Prince William County, Virginia Poet Laureate Emerita Kim B Miller is the First African American Poet Laureate for PWC, VA. Kim was featured on Voice of America-VOA. Voice of America is the largest and oldest US funded international broadcaster. Kim was also featured on WTOP, 103.5 FM. Kim received the 2021 DMV Best Business Award in the category of Arts & Entertainment. Kim is the 2022 and 2021 DMV Renaissance “Haikuist” of the Year. Kim is the 2019 Southern Fried Haiku Champion. Southern Fried Poetry Slam is one of the largest Spoken Word tournaments in the world.
