Jamar Root

Jamar Root is a 24 y/o Dallas-based, Temple University graduate that grew up always struggling with knowing what he wanted to be. Through many ups and downs in his journey, such as his diagnosis of Leukemia, he started to realize the power of being himself, valuing every moment, and following his
passions.

Jamar then created a podcast called the “Root of Everything” that inspires viewers to follow their
passion by showing the day in the life of people who love what they do. Now he speaks to students across the country with the lessons he has learned from his life and guests on his show.

Jamar relates to the students because he is someone who was in their shoes with the same pressures not that long ago. He is great at painting the picture of what his thought process was when he was making these huge life decisions.
