Dario Cohen

Dario Cohen grew up on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, raised by four Swedish nannies and one Black nanny who introduced him to soul music—taking young Dario to the Apollo Theater to see Jackie Wilson.
Like many in his generation, Dario’s journey was sparked by seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show—to the dismay of his parents. He abandoned three college attempts in favor of life on the road.
Dario co-founded numerous punk bands on the East Coast.

Leaving Manhattan behind, Dario moved to the Midwest and opened Periscope Records, and formed two more working bands. In recent years, Dario has shifted focus to songwriting and recording. Now, with a Dolby Atmos mix in progress, new management, Dario Cohen is stepping into the next chapter of a remarkable, genre-hopping career.
